Leland Torrence Enterprises traces its roots back to 1978 when it was established as a comprehensive construction entity. Originally centered around traditional general contracting and real estate development, the company embarked on a journey of restoring historical properties. Notably, we revitalized 23 residences within the esteemed Fair Haven Historic District while concurrently engaging in preservation endeavors across the broader New Haven vicinity.

Over the years, our portfolio expanded to include the restoration of numerous landmark structures and advisory roles in projects spanning Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Since 1991, we’ve been dedicated to evolving into a vertically integrated construction services firm. Our spectrum of services now encompasses building surveys, comprehensive capital improvement plans, precise cost estimating, adept construction management, and attentive owner representation.

Establishing a significant milestone in our journey, in 2011, Leland Torrence, Jr. brought his expertise to the company after completing training at two esteemed woodworking schools and spending three enriching years in Colorado. His passion and skill set infused a fresh energy into our operations. Subsequently, in 2016, Pawel Stepien and his proficient crew joined our ranks, further augmenting our capabilities.

With this infusion of new talent, our focus shifted toward residential construction. Specializing in the restoration and expansion of historic homes, our projects now span from 1950s modern designs to distinguished residences originally envisioned by renowned architectural firms. Collaborating closely with local architects, designers, and homeowners, we breathe new life into properties throughout the Greater New Haven area, preserving their legacy while incorporating contemporary elements to meet the evolving needs of modern living.
