Established in 1978, Leland Torrence Enterprises has grown into a comprehensive construction company specializing in residential restoration. We take pride in transforming architects’ and designers’ visions into reality as efficiently as possible. Originally focused on general contracting and real estate development, we have restored 23 historic residences in the Fair Haven Historic District and completed numerous preservation projects throughout the Greater New Haven area. Beyond large-scale remodels, we also excel in smaller projects such as decks, porticos, and kitchen and bathroom renovations.

Construction

Unlike fixed-price contracts, we charge for actual costs incurred plus a pre-agreed fee, providing clients with flexibility and clear visibility into expenses. We keep clients informed of material costs, labor fees, and additional expenditures throughout the process.

Closeout Process
The project closeout marks the completion and handover of the renovated home. This includes a final walkthrough to ensure quality, addressing any outstanding issues, obtaining necessary approvals, completing documentation, and finalizing financials.
As the closeout date approaches, we create a detailed punch list to ensure a smooth transition to occupancy. We take pride in delivering fully functional, pleasing homes on schedule.
The closeout book provides homeowners with comprehensive documentation, including project milestones, contractor information, and maintenance guidance—empowering them to confidently manage their new home.
